Some 1.5 million Covid-19 vaccines are ready for disposal in Lithuania, while another 2.3 million jabs have been or will be donated to other countries, 15min.lt reported on Tuesday, citing data from the Health Ministry.
Vaccines have already been delivered to Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Norway, Latvia, Cyprus, Honduras, Congo, Tanzania, Indonesia, and Belize.
Donations are also planned for Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and the Philippines.
The number of expiring vaccines is going up in Lithuania due to people’s slow take up of the second booster.
