On Tuesday, Lithuania allowed using rapid tests at home to confirm a coronavirus infection.

This means that a person who has tested positive for the coronavirus will have to send a picture of the test to his GP. The coronavirus diagnosis will then be added to the person’s eSveikata (eHealth) record.

This aims to take the workload off clinics and doctors who previously had to carry out a test at a clinic to confirm Covid-19.
