Lithuanian Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys plans to propose legislation for compulsory Covid-19 vaccination for some professions next week.
“In response to the situation, next week we will probably speed up the process and I plan that we will be able to submit compulsory vaccination legislation to the cabinet,” the minister told LRT TV on Thursday.
“We want to discuss [compulsory vaccination] in key professional areas: the health system, education, social care,” he said. “There are also proposals to talk about the civil service and the military, and I think that next week we will have the opportunity to discuss this in more detail.”
The minister did not say when vaccination could be made compulsory for certain professions.
