Coronavirus: Lithuania reports 465 new cases, 15 deaths

Lithuania has confirmed 465 new coronavirus infections and 15 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Monday morning.

Twelve of the fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.

A total of 2,301 people have been vaccinated over the past 24 hours, including 229 with their first dose.

The total number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals currently stands at 1,344, including 129 ICU cases.

Over 3,200 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 572 antigen tests have been performed over the past 24 hours.

The 14-day infection rate has inched down to 853.1 per 100,000 people, and the seven-day percentage of positive tests currently stands at 11 percent.

A total of 480,000 people in Lithuania have tested positive for Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic. The death toll is around 6,900.
