Lithuania has registered 1,298 new coronavirus infections and 16 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
Thirteen of the fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
In the past 24 hours, 4,011 people received the first jab, while 5,477 received the second shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Some 61.1 percent of the population have now received at least one jab of the vaccine.
The total number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals has risen by six to 863, including 80 in intensive care units.
As of Wednesday morning, 4,740 people have died from Covid-19 – 63 of them were fully vaccinated. The number of deaths directly or indirectly related to Covid-19 has risen to 9,503.
Lithuania’s 14-day infection rate per 100,000 people has risen to 415.6.
