Lithuania has registered 889 new coronavirus infections and five deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday morning.
Four of the five fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
Lithuania's 14-day infection rate stands at 394.3 cases per 100,000 people. The share of positive tests has been 6.1 percent over the last seven days.
In the past 24 hours, vaccine shots have been administered to a total of 10,400 people, including 4,304 who were vaccinated with the first jab.
Overall, 61 percent of the population have been vaccinated with at least one shot, or 69.5 percent of people over the age of 12.
The total number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals has risen to 857, including 85 in intensive care units. There are currently 9,372 active coronavirus cases in the country.
