Lithuania has registered 646 new coronavirus infections and six deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday morning.
Four fatalities were in their 80s, one was in their 60s and one in their 70s. None of the deceased had been fully vaccinated.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate has risen to 285.1 cases per 100,000 people, with the daily share of positive tests at 5 percent, according to the latest statistics.
Overall, 298,825 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases has fallen to 6,995.
There are currently 561 coronavirus patients being treated in the country's hospitals, 66 of them are in intensive care.
A total of 4,561 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far, including 33 who had been fully vaccinated.
Over 13,000 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 on Monday: 5,426 were given the first vaccine jab and 7,840 got the second shot.
So far, Lithuania has vaccinated 59.2 percent of its population at least once, or 69.7 percent of all adults.
