Lithuanian troops and the last group of Afghan evacuees left Kabul before an explosion outside the airport on Thursday, according to Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas.
"They are no longer in Afghanistan," he told BNS. "I can confirm that they were no longer there at that time."
Eleven troops of Lithuania's Special Operations Forces and a number of Afghan evacuees are on their way from Kabul to Lithuania.
A suicide attack outside Kabul airport earlier on Thursday has left at least four US soldiers dead and injured. The number of casualties among civilians is currently unclear.
The State Department Ops Center issued an alert to staff stating: "Initial reports suggest four or more U.S. service personnel may have been injured or killed in the explosion at HKIA." Attack occurred at 17:11 local time and is "believed to have been a suicide vest attack"

Anušauskas confirmed earlier that the last plane with 26 Afghan interpreters, who had assisted Lithuanian troops, and their families had already landed on Thursday.
The minister said Lithuania would have relocated a total of 176 people fleeing the Taliban once the ten-day evacuation operation was over.
