Lithuania has registered 562 new coronavirus infections and seven deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Thursday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 374 cases per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests has been 3.3 percent over the past seven days.
There were 18,997 molecular (PCR) tests and 6,576 antigen tests conducted on Wednesday in Lithuania.
Overall, 272,826 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country since the start of the pandemic.
Currently, 251,709 people are considered as having recovered from Covid-19 and 11,464 as active cases.
A total of 4,229 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 8,536.
Nearly 27,000 people in the country were vaccinated against Covid-19 on Wednesday: 15,569 were given the first shot and 11,222 were given their second jab.
In all, 972,857 people have been vaccinated at least once, or 34.8 percent of the population.
