Lithuania has registered 911 new coronavirus infections and nine deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 534.8 cases per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests has been 5.2 percent over the past seven days.
There were 17,898 molecular (PCR) tests and 4,273 antigen tests performed in the country on Tuesday.
Overall, 267,769 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.
Currently, 243,126 people are considered as having recovered from the disease and 15,227 as active cases.
A total of 4,136 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 8,361.
Over 22,000 vaccines were administered in Lithuania on Tuesday: 9,874 people got their first shot and 12,630 were vaccinated the second time.
Overall, 887,413 people in the country have been vaccinated at least once, or 31.8 percent of the population.
