Lithuania has registered 1,230 new coronavirus infections and three deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
Some 16,126 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 7,774 antigen tests have been performed in the last 24 hours.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 590.9 cases per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests over the past seven days at 5.8 percent.
Some 13,737 have received the first, and 9,828 the second, dose of the coronavirus vaccine. A total of 806,903 people in the country have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 398,883 have received both.
Overall, 261,128 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.
Some 235,265 people have recovered, while 16,667 remain active cases.
A total of 4,059 people have died from Covid-19in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 8,198.
