Lithuania has registered 1,284 new coronavirus infections and four deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 471.3 per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests has been 6.5 percent over the past seven days.
Overall, 229,260 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.
Currently 208,123 people are considered as having recovered from Covid-19 and 12,843 as active cases, according to the statistics office.
A total of 3,718 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 7,536.
On Tuesday, 15,437 people were given the first coronavirus vaccine dose and 2,714 received the second one.
Overall, 508,983 people have been vaccinated once so far and 193,007 have had two jabs.
According to statistics, 44.8 percent of people over 80 have been vaccinated in Lithuania. The percentage stands at 55.6 percent in the 70-79 age group and 33.2 percent in the 60-69 age group.
Lithuania has so far received a total of 806,525 vaccine doses and has used 701,990 of them.
