Lithuania has registered 1,088 new coronavirus infections and twelve deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 452.5 per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests over the past seven days has been 6.6 percent.
Overall, 227,889 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.
Currently 207,391 people are considered as having recovered from Covid-19, while 12,224 are active cases.
A total of 3,713 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 7,524.
Over 8,000 people received vaccine jabs on Monday: 7,882 were vaccinated with the first shot and 391 got their second jab.
