Lithuania has registered 318 new coronavirus infections and eight deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Monday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 246.6 cases per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests over the past seven days – at 6.5 percent.
Overall, 209,340 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.
Some 194,345 people are considered as having statistically recovered from Covid-19 and 7,382 as statistically ill, meaning they have tested positive for the virus in the past 28 days.
A total of 3,486 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 7,047.
As of Monday morning, 275,438 people have received their first coronavirus vaccine shots and 124,522 have been given the second jab, including 10 and 18, respectively, in the last 24 hours.
Some 2,988 molecular (PCR) tests and 157 antigen tests have been performed in the last 24 hours.
