Lithuania's statistics department reported 463 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, in addition to 557 new cases reported on Saturday.
The share of positive tests has been 8 percent over the last seven days.
Nine people have died from Covid-19 over the last 24 hours.
Lithuania's cumulative 2-week infection rate currently stands at 242.7 per 100,000 people.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 194,051 people have been diagnosed with the virus. So far, 3,171 people have died from the disease.
Over Saturday, 941 people were given their first vaccine shots, 62 people got the second jab. In all, 121,113 people in Lithuania have been vaccinated against Covid-19 once, 66,897 have already gotten two shots.
Health minister in self-isolation
Lithuania's Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys has gone into self-quarantine after coming into close contact with an infected person, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Dulkys is feeling fine, according to the statement, and will continue to telework from home.
An employee of the Health Ministry tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday. Dulkys and some other employees who had recently been in close physical contact with the person were instructed to self-isolate and monitor their health for 14 days.
