Coronavirus: Lithuania reports 365 new cases, 11 deaths

Lithuania has registered 365 new coronavirus infections and 11 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Thursday morning.

Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 238.8 per 100,000 people.

Overall, 192,193 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.

At the moment, 176,925 people are considered as having statistically recovered from Covid-19, and 8,811 as statistically ill, meaning that they have had tested positive for the virus in the past 28 days.

A total of 3,129 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far, and a total of 6,075 deaths are directly or indirectly linked to the coronavirus.

As of Thursday morning, 106,894 people have received their first coronavirus vaccine shots and 58,988 have been given the second jab, including 3,886 and 3,650 in the last 24 hours, respectively.

A total of 2,200,729 molecular (PGR) tests for Covid-19 have been carried out in the country so far, including 5,583 in the past 24 hours.

During the same period, 669 antigen tests have been performed in the country, bringing the total number to 28,351.

The share of positive tests over the past seven days now stands at 7 percent.
