Coronavirus: Lithuania records 300 new cases, 10 deaths

Lithuania has registered 300 new coronavirus infections and 10 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday

As of Tuesday morning, 3,095 people have died of Covid-19 in Lithuania and a total of 6,002 deaths are considered related to the coronavirus infection.

Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 257.4 per 100,000 people. Overall, 191,264 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.

Currently, 9,609 people are still ill, meaning they have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 28 days.

A total of 3,700 people have received their first shot of the coronavirus vaccine in the past 24 hours, while 680 people have received the second hand. A total of 55,052 people in Lithuania have received two shots of the vaccine.

Some 6,003 tests for Covid-19 have been done in the country over the past 24 hours.
