Lithuania has registered 569 new coronavirus infections and 12 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
The coronavirus-related death toll now stands at 2,988, including four earlier fatalities added to the tally on Wednesday.
A total of 1,679 people were confirmed as having recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 313.5 per 100,000 people.
Overall, 187,991 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic. The country currently has 40,269 active cases and 142,313 recoveries.
As of Wednesday morning, 79,713 people in Lithuania have received their first coronavirus vaccine shots and 50,186 have been given the second jab, including 821 and 1,680 in the last 24 hours, respectively.
A total of 7,032 coronavirus tests were carried out in the past 24 hours.
