Coronavirus: Lithuania reports 387 new cases, 12 deaths

Lithuania has registered 387 new coronavirus infections and 14 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday morning.

The coronavirus-related death toll now stands at 2,972, including five earlier fatalities added to the tally on Tuesday.

A total of 2,110 people were confirmed as having recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.

Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 339 per 100,000 people.

Overall, 187,421 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic. The country currently has 41,595 active cases and 140,448 recoveries.

As of Tuesday morning, 78,896 people in Lithuania have received their first coronavirus vaccine shots and 48,165 have been given the second jab, including 219 and 2,217 in the last 24 hours, respectively.

Lithuania tested 6,444 people for the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
