On Monday, Lithuania registered 476 new cases of Covid-19 and 21 coronavirus-related deaths.
This marks the lowest number of new infections since October 26. However, the count is usually lower at the beginning of the week due to the lower number of Covid-19 tests done over the weekend.
The coronavirus-related death toll now stands at 2,469, including three earlier fatalities added to the tally on Monday.
Overall, 167,992 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic. The country currently has 60,014 active cases, while 104,297 people have recovered, including 52 over the past 24 hours.
As of Monday morning, 47,498 people in Lithuania have received their first coronavirus vaccine shots.
A total of 1,810,382 tests for Covid-19 have been carried out in the country so far, including 3,583 over the past 24 hours.
