Lithuania reported 3,128 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday morning, hitting another daily record.
Thirty-one people died of Covid-19 in the country over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, 1,171 new recoveries were confirmed.
Most clusters are linked to social care homes, medical and educational institutions, and workplaces. Some 214 cases are linked to outbreaks within households.
A total of 80,556 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic. The country currently has 45,798 active cases and 33,708 recoveries.
The coronavirus death toll has reached 704, while 348 infected people have died of other causes.
Currently, 2,122 people with Covid-19 are being treated in the country's hospitals, the Statistics Department said, 163 of them are in intensive care.
Lithuania tested 11,729 people over the past 24 hours.
