Lithuania confirmed 2,109 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday morning after testing 10,948 people over past 24 hours.
Twenty-eight people died of Covid-19 on Tuesday, bringing Lithuania's total death toll to 547.
One of the victims was in their 30s, according to Justina Petravičienė of Lithuania's National Public Health Centre (NVSC), while 10 were in their 70s.
Most had previous health conditions, Petravičienė said.
In all, 64,621 people in the country have been diagnosed with the infection since the start of the pandemic. So far, 25,278 people have recovered, including 1,278 recoveries over past 24 hours.
Currently, 38,514 people remain active cases, while 1,885 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospitals, including 148 in intensive care.
