Lithuania registered 1,976 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday and 2,121 on Sunday.
Twenty-two people have also died from the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s total death toll from Covid-19 to 491. Another 227 coronavirus-infected people have died of other illnesses.
The country’s total number of infections now stands at 60,193. Some 14,120 people have recovered and 45,355 are still ill.
A total of 1,251,462 tests for Covid-19 have been done in Lithuania so far, including 9,303 over the past 24 hours.
Some 1,734 people infected with the virus are currently hospitalised, including 140 who are in intensive care. The number of occupied ICU beds have remained similar to the previous days – 369 out of 670 beds available in the country.
