Lithuanian Railways launch rebrand after 'biggest transformation' in history

BNS 2020.07.07 15:00

The state-owned railway company Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways) and its subsidiaries are rebranding and will collectively be known under the abbreviated name LTG.

The company says that its new arrow-shaped logo represents progress and movement and will streamline the branding across the entire group of companies – the cargo and passenger carriers (LTG Cargo and LTG Link) as well as LTG Infra which is responsible for infrastructure development.

According to Mantas Bartuška, the head of Lithuanian Railways, the new branding reflects significant changes the company has gone through recently as well as its future priorities.

“During the last few years Lithuanian Railways has experienced its biggest transformation since Lithuania’s independence was restored. As a result, we are now an open, transparent and effectively-organised business, so representing these changes externally seemed like the natural next step,” Bartuška said in a press release.

In 2019, Lithuanian Railways made 57.2 million euros in net profits (data yet to be audited), a 4.4-percent rise compared to 2018. The group’s total revenue has increased by nearly 2 percent, to 505.6 million euros, over the same period.
