The Genocide and Resistance Research Center of Lithuania (LGGRC) has launched an online register of people who were deported, jailed or killed by the Soviets in 1940–1953.
The website – accessible here – includes names, surnames, the nature of repression, the year of deportation and other data. The information is searchable and can also be updated by the public.

The data is based on findings of a commission set up in 1988 by the Sąjūdis organisation, which led the movement for Lithuania’s independence from the Soviet Union.
The Commission for the Investigation of Stalinist Crimes collected over 150,000 testimonies, which included questionnaires, documents, letters and accounts of Soviet repressions and armed and civil resistance movements.
