Eleven new coronavirus cases were diagnosed in Lithuania over Thursday, according to the National Public Health Centre.
In all, Lithuania has confirmed 1,604 Covid-19 infections by Friday.
So far, 1,111 people have been confirmed to have recovered, while 424 are active cases. Over Thursday, 6,039 people were tested for the virus in Lithuania.
Lithuania records another death from coronavirus
A person has died at Santara Clinics in Vilnius on Friday.
"We have received information today about a patient's death of Covid-19. The patient was treated at the Thoracic Surgery Department, belonged to the 71–80 age group and had underlying oncologic diseases," Ginreta Megelinskienė of the National Public Health Centre told reporters on Friday.
This case will be included into the official death toll on Saturday. Based on Friday's official information, a total of 61 people have died of the coronavirus in Lithuania and another eight people, who had the virus, died from other causes.
