The Lithuanian government will allocate at least 4.5 million euros to support the country's cultural workers, Culture Minister Mindaugas Kvietkauskas said on Tuesday.
This, he added, is only the initial plan that can be adjusted in response to “ever-changing circumstances and financial resources”.
According to Kvietkauskas, there are also plans to use 600,000 euros from the Culture Support Fund to provide grants to individual artists.
“Based on our calculations, over 300 creators [...] could apply for such grants,” the minister said.
The artists could get monthly grants of 600 euros for three months.
