Lithuanian government allocates €1.2m for coronavirus prevention

The Lithuanian government has decided to use 1.2 million euros from the state reserve for coronavirus prevention.

The funds were allocated to the Ministry of Health for protection measures, including the acquisition of respirators (80,000) and hand sanitizers (100,000 liters).

On February 26, the Lithuanian government declared an emergency situation to manage coronavirus risks. On the same day, 150,000 euros were allocated from the state reserve for the acquisition of additional protection measures.

Three coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lithuania to date.
