The Lithuanian search and rescue ship Šakiai eliminated a pollution stain in the Baltic Sea on Saturday, the military said.
The Lithuanian Navy's Maritime Rescue Coordination Center received information on a spotted pollution stain in the Baltic Sea on Saturday, the Ministry of National Defense said.
An AS-365 Dauphin helicopter took off at around 9:10 to check the information on the stain spotted near Nemirseta. Upon confirmation of the stain some 4 nautical miles from Palanga, the Šakiai ship was sent to the area at 11:10.
