Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė on Monday officially submitted to President Gitanas Nausėda the nominations of Robertas Kaunas and Vaida Aleknavičienė for the posts of defence and culture ministers, respectively.
The news agency ELTA has reported it quoting the prime minister’s adviser Tadas Vinokuras.
Kaunas, the Social Democrat nominee to head the Defence Ministry, has already met with Nausėda twice.
Aleknavičienė’s candidacy for culture minister emerged only last Friday, after the Social Democratic Party’s board decided to nominate her for the position.
