Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda says he hopes the trade war between the United States and the European Union will be resolved through swift negotiations.
“I really want to hope that this economic war, if we can call it that, will end with swift negotiations aimed at minimising losses,” Nausėda told LRT TV on Monday.
“I’ve repeatedly said that there are no winners in this war, no matter who started it,” the president said.
“This has been tested in the world many times throughout different periods, and it has always ended with the same result,” he added.
