Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has blamed “Russophobic” Baltic states and Poland for allegedly guiding the policy of EU and NATO toward Moscow.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with his US counterpart, he said the “Russophobic minority led primarily by the Baltic states and Poland” force the EU and NATO to continue the allegedly “anti-Russian policy”.
His comments came at a time when Russia has drawn over 100,000 troops on Ukraine’s borders, saying it seeks to prevent Kyiv forming closer relations with NATO.
Lavrov met with his American counterpart Antony Blinken in Geneva on Friday, as the West seeks to prevent a further attack against Ukraine by Russia.
