The budget bus operator Flixbus has announced it is launching routes from Vilnius to Berlin and Warsaw this week.
“The final number of routes will depend on the demand and travel restrictions,” Kamila Zalewska from Flixbus told LRT.lt. “However, we are planning that it will cover directions from Lithuania [to] the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria.”
The journey from Vilnius to Berlin will take some 17 hours, while the trip to Warsaw will last around nine hours.
The company announced in 2020 plans to expand in the Baltic states, but had encountered delays due to the pandemic, according to Flixbus representatives.
