In 2010 a high-school student Rūta Dambravaitė took a closer look at one old photograph and made an observation which raised many questions for art researchers and restorers.
The photograph features M.K. Čiurlionis - Lithuanian painter, composer and writer, also considered one of the pioneers of abstract art in Europe. He is standing next to a display of his now-famous cycle of 10 paintings, “Fantasies”. One of them looks slightly different from the only original known today.
In 2018, now a radio producer, Rūta starts an investigation that leads to uncover unheard-of stories about the Lithuanian genius, crumpling paper, restoration, kinds of wind and something that is lost in between art and science.
