Lithuania has launched InfoDesk App, a new digital tool designed to help foreigners access information from various institutions more easily, the Reception and Integration Agency announced Tuesday.
The app aims to solve a long-standing problem faced by newcomers, who until now had to search multiple government websites for fragmented information. Without familiarity with Lithuania’s institutional system, finding details about services in an accessible language has often been difficult, the agency said.
InfoDesk App provides information on residence permits, education opportunities, health services, the labour market, language courses, and cultural integration. It also offers updates for foreigners staying in temporary accommodation, including news, events, training opportunities, consultations, and contact details.
“This app will significantly increase the availability of information to foreigners in a language they understand,” Social Security and Labour Minister Jūratė Zailskienė said. “Our goal is for every foreign resident of Lithuania to feel accepted and included from their first day. We believe this digital tool will contribute to smoother adaptation, greater independence, and successful long-term integration.”

The app is adapted for people with disabilities and features a text-to-speech function that allows users to listen to content. Information is available in 20 languages.
According to the Migration Department, about 210,000 foreigners were living in Lithuania as of early September. The Reception and Integration Agency currently supports 470 foreigners in Vilnius, Rukla, Pabradė, and Girionys.
Women and children make up 53% of Lithuania’s foreign population. Most have arrived from Ukraine, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Egypt.
Another 579 foreigners are receiving integration support in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Jonava, Trakai, and Elektrėnai. Municipal programs are assisting 76 people relocated from Ukraine and Venezuela.
