Gabrielius Landsbergis, Lithuania’s former foreign minister, has joined the Advisory Board of the Munich Security Conference, his spokeswoman Paulina Levickytė told BNS on Monday.
According to her, the Advisory Council helps maintain and advance the high quality of the annual Munich Security Conference and the MSC’s other events. It advises the MSC chairman on strategic decisions, thematic focus, and partnership development.
The Council is made up of prominent political and public figures, including former EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, former Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and others.
Landsbergis served as foreign minister between 2020–2024 and stepped down as chairman of the conservative Homeland Union (TS-LKD) after the party’s poor performance in last October’s general elections. Since then he has launched a podcast on geopolitics and writes regular commentaries on his blog.
