An unidentified person threw bottles with incendiary liquids at the Russian embassy in Vilnius on Sunday and Monday nights.
The first attack happened at around 02:15 on Sunday. The second attack occurred at 02:46 on Monday, according to the Police Department.
The Russian embassy is located in a building in the Žvėrynas neighbourhood of Vilnius.
The building’s wall was reportedly damaged, the extent of the damage is being assessed.
Ramūnas Matonis, a spokesman for the Police Department, told LRT RADIO that the suspects have not yet been identified. The incident was recorded by police officers.
Matonis refrained from commenting about the possible motives for the attacks.
A pre-trial investigation has been opened under Article 187(2) of the Criminal Code (Destruction or damage to property in a generally dangerous manner).
