German airline Lufthansa has cancelled all flights between Vilnius and Frankfurt scheduled for Tuesday due to a strike by its employees.
A total of four flights were cancelled: two from Vilnius to Frankfurt and two from Frankfurt to Vilnius, Marius Zelenius, a spokesperson for Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports, LTOU), the airport operator in Lithuania, told BNS.
LTOU do not yet have any information about the cancellations planned for other days this week.
On Saturday, the German trade union UFO announced that Lufthansa workers would stage a two-day strike in Frankfurt and Munich this week, following a strike by another trade union Ver.di last week.
