This week’s strike by the ground staff of the German airline Lufthansa will affect six flights to and from Lithuania, Tadas Vasiliauskas, a spokesperson for Lithuanian Airports (LTOU), said on Tuesday.
The strike has led to the cancellation of four Lufthansa flights from Vilnius to Frankfurt and back on Tuesday and Wednesday. Latvia’s Air Baltic has also cancelled two flights between Vilnius and Munich on Tuesday, Vasiliauskas said.
“Today’s Air Baltic flights – arrival and departure – between Vilnius and Munich have been cancelled due to the employee strike at Munich Airport,” he told BNS.
Vasiliauskas said that passengers who had bought tickets for these flights should contact the airlines, which should offer alternatives.
