Revolut Bank suspends card payments in Belarus

Revolut, which has a banking licence in Lithuania, has suspended card payments in Belarus as of Friday. 

"We finished our work a few minutes ago, and we are blocking card payments in Belarus from today," the bank told BNS on Friday afternoon.

Until now, Revolut Bank has allowed customers travelling to Belarus to make payments and withdraw cash, but only a limited amount.

Šiaulių Bankas completely stopped card payments in Belarus on Wednesday, while other major banks – Luminor, Swedbank and SEB – suspended the use of payment cards in Belarus in September.
