Lithuania has so far provided military support to Ukraine worth around 200 million euros, Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas said on Wednesday.

“Lithuania’s total military support amounts to around 200 million euros,” the minister said in a Facebook post.

In his words, “50 M113 armoured personnel carriers have recently been sent to Ukraine”.

“A decision has been made to order winter clothing requested by the Ukrainians from Lithuanian companies,” the defence minister added.

Lithuania has also agreed to repair Ukrainian military equipment, Anušauskas said, adding that the country organises training of Ukrainian soldiers.

“We will have trained at least 500 military specialists by the end of the year,” the minister said.

Russia invaded Ukraine in late February by launching a large-scale offensive across the country. In recent weeks, however, Kyiv’s forces have been staging successful counter-offensive in the eastern part of the country and retaking Russian-occupied territories.
