Vilnius University (VU) has maintained the highest rating it received last year among Lithuanian higher education institutions, ranking 400th in the latest QS World University Rankings 2022.
“Last year, Vilnius University reached a historical high in the global ranking of universities,” rector of Vilnius University, Rimvydas Petrauskas, said in a press release. “
Compared to the previous year, VU rose significantly in reputation among employers – from 434th to 348th position.
In addition, VU took the 137th spot in terms of quality of teaching.
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech) shares the 751st–800th places in the latest rating, while Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and Kaunas' Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) rank 800th–1,000th, unchanged from last year.
American and British universities – Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oxford, Stanford, Cambridge and Harvard – traditionally top the list this year.
