Lithuania has registered 2,235 new coronavirus infections and 16 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday morning.
Fifteen of the fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
A total of 6,436 people were vaccinated on Monday, including 2,551 with their first shots. So far, 63.8 percent of the population have been vaccinated at least once.
The total number of Covid-19 patients in Lithuania's hospitals currently stands at 1,699, declining by 60 from the day before. Of them, 145 patients need intensive care.
Some 11,300 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 11,500 antigen tests have been performed over the past 24 hours.
Lithuania's 14-day infection rate has risen to 1,155.7 per 100,000 people, and the seven-day percentage of positive tests has edged up to 12.5 percent.
A total of 5,489 people have died of Covid-19 in Lithuania so far.
