Starting in July, shops in Lithuania will have to display the original price of a discounted product or face fines ranging from 500 to 5,000 euros.
Under the new law approved by the Lithuanian parliament, the price will have to cover a period of at least one month before the discount.
Perishable products and goods that depreciate quickly will be exempted from the rules.
