With less than a month remaining until Christmas, Lithuania's towns and cities are bringing out their decorations. Due to coronavirus restrictions, Christmas tree lighting ceremonies will take place without audiences, but most will be broadcast online or on TV.

Here is how you can take part in the festivities across Lithuania from home.

The city's main Christmas tree on Cathedral Square will be lit this Saturday, November 28. The ceremony begins at 17:30 and will be broadcast live on TV3.

Another Christmas tree on Rotušės Square (Town Hall) will be inaugurated a week later, on December 5.

The main Christmas tree of Kaunas will also be lit on Saturday, November 28. The ceremony begins at 18:00 and will be broadcast live by LRT TV.

The city's holiday theme this year is Sweet Christmas in Kaunas and its Christmas tree decorations have been inspired by meringue candy.
