BNS2019.10.09 12:44

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to pay a visit to Vilnius in late November, the Lithuanian president's office said on Monday.

Zelensky's visit is scheduled for November 26-27, Antanas Bubnelis, spokesman for President Gitanas Nauseda, told BNS.

The Ukrainian foreign minister has said the Ukrainian president plans to go to Latvia next week.

Zelensky was elected Ukrainian president last spring, and has recently been embroiled in the controversy surrounding US President Donald Trump's phonecall, where he pressured Zelensky to investigate Trump's political rival, Joe Biden.

The published transcripts of the phonecall showed Zelensky agreeing with Trump's criticism that Germany and the EU isn't doing enough for Ukraine.
