Iceland’s budget airline Play will start regular flights between Vilnius and Reykjavik from May, Lithuanian Transport Minister Marius Skuodis has announced.

The flights will operate once a week, on Saturdays, he said.

“From now on, we will have even better opportunities to discover Iceland and each other. The airline also offers flights to the USA and Canada with the possibility to spend up to 10 days in Iceland on the way to or from Europe,” Skuodis announced on Facebook.

Play Airlines has had an administrative office in Vilnius for several years.

Currently, the Hungarian airline Wizz Air operates regular flights between Vilnius and the Icelandic capital.
