Police received a false report of a bomb on a bridge on the border between Lithuania and Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave late Tuesday night.
Officers from Lithuania’s anti-terrorist operations unit ARAS and Russian officers inspected the bridge and its approaches and found no explosives, the Police Department said.
The Tauragė District Chief Police Commissariat received the hoax report at 23:44 and it said there was a bomb on the bridge over the Nemunas River between the towns of Panemunė and Sovetsk.
