With only weeks remaining until the end-of-year holidays, many of Lithuanian towns and cities have inaugurated their Christmas trees over the last weekend.
Like every year, the competition is on: which town has the prettiest, the most breathtaking and festive tree. What’s new this year, however, is that more are opting for natural spruces, eschewing geometrical perfection that can only be achieved with artificial frames.
Lights and stars, however, remain a must – with the darkest month of the year upon us, Christmas trees must shine and sparkle in the dark.
