Due to the coronavirus travel restrictions, Ryanair is temporarily suspending all flights to and from Vilnius and Palanga airports.
All flights from Vilnius will be halted until the end of March, leaving the Kaunas–Dublin route as the only connection it will operate to and from Lithuania in the next few months.
Tadas Vasiliauskas, spokesman for Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports), the operator of Lithuania's three international airports, said Ryanair was cutting its flight schedule in all European countries.
“This doesn't mean the closure of [its] base" in Lithuania, he told BNS.
The Dublin-based carrier announced on January 7 that it was making cuts to its flight schedule in response to the Covid-19 restrictions.
"Ryanair will significantly cut its flight schedules from Thursday, January 21, which will result in few [...] flights being operated to [and] from Ireland or the UK from the end of January" it said in a statement, calling the travel restrictions “draconian”.
